The Channel Lamp consists of three parts: a military surplus ammo can for a weighted base, a rectangular aluminum tube for vertical structure, and aluminum channel to accommodate the led strip. Through bolted connections all are attached to create a floor lamp with four feet of reach. There is nothing particular about the dimensions of the components. The prototype was made from what happened to be available. The munitions must simply be heavy enough to counter the desired span of the lighting channel.
